Tribal Institution Relations Committee
Do you want to collaborate with a committee of education professionals ranging from college counselors (public, private, charter schools), admissions, community-based organizations, and more, who work with Native American and Indigenous students in the five RMACAC states?
Join us as we work together toward establishing the vision of creating ideas, initiatives, and network opportunities with advocacy for Native American and Indigenous students with other educational professionals. Virtual meetings are quarterly. Please reach out to the TIR Committee Chair for more information about upcoming meetings and initiatives. All are welcome!
Current TIR Committee priorities include:
- Working through and around politically constructed boundaries (state and reservation) and traditional homelands for stronger communication avenues for college access
- Aim to strategize professional development opportunities for tribal institution relations between and across the five RMACAC states and constituent groups
- TIR Committee recruitment for representation across all RMACAC five states between high schools, higher education institutions, community-based organizations, and tribal/sovereign/indigenous postsecondary entities
